Suthep won't report for indictment

People's Democratic Reform Committee leader Suthep Thaugsuban will not be able to report to prosecutors to be formally indicted in connection with deaths and injuries in the military crackdown on protesters during the 2010 political violence, PDRC core member Thaworn Senneam said on Wednesday.

Mr Thaworn said Mr Suthep has appointed a lawyer who will apply to prosecutors for a postponement because he is fully engaged in the PDRC's operations.

He said Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, another accused in the case, will report to prosecutors tomorrow as requested.

The Office of the Attorney General scheduled Dec 12 for the formal indictment of Mr Abhisit and Mr Suthep on charges brought by the Department of Special Investigation.

Mr Suthep was deputy prime minister and the director of Centre for the Resolution of the Emergency Situation (CRES) during the protest crackdown, acting on behalf of Mr Abhisit, who was prime minister at the time.

My earlier comment was not published maybe this newspaper and web version is ruined by Suthep to. Was I actually wanted to put focus on is the fact that this guy saying he is fighting corruption is not as clean as he want the Thai people to believe. Fired from his post cause of corruption in province !!!! I say it again Thai stand up for your country and it´s democracy that the only way to limit corruption. Don't let this undemocratic coup continue. The Thai police and army seems to be paralyzed and the situation is more like anarchy. There is a lot of us loving Thailand and it´s people thinking of you around the world.

I like the way the PDRC core member speaks for Abhisit Vejjajiva. The silence from the democrat party particularly Korn is a clear sign that not all well within the party.

What a joke! Detain him or condemn him in absentia

Mr Suthep has appointed a lawyer who will apply to prosecutors for a postponement because he is fully engaged in the PDRC's illegal activities.

The fact that he is causing more trouble is hardly a reason not to attend
Discussion 9 : 11/12/2013 at 01:25 PM
He cannot attend because he is fully engaged in PRDC operations, is this a joke? He should be made to attend, or is he untouchable??

This is something I dont understand, when there is a order to apprehend someone, it is the duty of the police to get this guy, he is already wanted on other criminal cases. So why the state organs are not doing their job? I am not wondering why there is anarchy and chaos when the relevant people dont do their jobs.

No surprise, because from the very beginning till now, the mobs led by Suthep is of the 1212 trials, by the trials and for the trials.
