SEA Games: three more golds

Thailand climbed to third place in the 27th SEA Games 2013 on Friday after its sepak takraw team, kick volleyball, won two gold medals and a canoeist duo won another.

The Thai men’s and women’s takraw teams dominated in their finals against host nation Myanmar teams, both ending their matches with scores of 3-0.

Canoeists Panudech Petchmeekar and Naret Nowprakone were first at the finish line for the 200 metres men’s doubles canoe sprint.

Thailand also won two silvers, one in the 200 metres women’s four-person canoe sprint and the other in the woman’s cross-country cycling.

Thailand now has 15 gold, 18 silver, and 11 bronze medals in the competition and is behind host country Myanmar, in first place, and Vietnam.
