It was the latest death in a recent spate in the region which has now claimed the lives of 18 gaur, Kui Buri district chief Pongphan Wichiensamut said on Sunday.
The male gaur, weighing about 1.5 tonnes, was found buried near the spot where two dead gaur were found earlier this month, he said.
Meanwhile, two gaur horns have gone missing from carcasses found in Kui Buri National Park, said Watthana Pornprasert, director of the Protected Area Administration Regional Office 3.
Mr Watthana said local authorities on Saturday were gathering the dead animals' horns when they found two missing.
The official said he had lodged a complaint about the missing horns with Yang Chum police station in Kui Buri and launched an investigation into their disappearance.
