Track problem halts Airport Link

The Airport Rail Link city-inbound service was halted for about an hour during Monday morning's rush hours due to an unspecified "technical problem" with the track, making many commuters late for work.

SRT Electrified Train Co, operator of the Airport Rail Link, said a problem occured at Hua Mark station around 8.30am, and the service was suspend to ensure the safety of passengers.

Large numbers of commuters were left stranded, awaiting the reopening of the inbound service.

City-bound trains were diverted to another track to serve both inbound and outbound trains about an hour later and airport to city services resumed.

The stalled train was cleared from the inbound track around 10am. Railway investigators were looking into the still unspecified problem.

Track problems at the airport rail link are know since the construction of the entire system. SRT did what they do best. nothing.

So, what is the excuse now since they cannot use the 'old track' as in the case of the SRT anymore?
