(Video) Protesters march to several spots

Anti-government protesters under the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) arrived at the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security on Wednesday morning, only to find it had been closed since Tuesday evening and not reopened.

One group of protesters led by Suthep Thaugsuban left Pathumwan intersection heading to Saphan Khao near Bo Bae market to arrive at the ministry after 9am while another group from Lumpini Park spent around one and a half hours travelling to  the ministry.

However, the ministry had been closed since Tuesday evening, according to a sign posted there. The protesters from Lumpini Park were expected to stay at the ministry until 6pm Wednesday.

The other group of protesters left Asoke intersection around 10am, using outbound Sukhumvit road to go to the Thong Lor and Ekkamai area and planned to march back to Asoke intersection along inbound Sukhumvit road.

Protesters from Lat Phrao intersection left their protest site heading for the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation near Kasetsart University, travelling along outbound Phahon Yothin road.

Protesters earlier gathered at the Energy Ministry and will travel in vehicles to the house of caretaker Energy Minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisal in Huay Khwang area.

Demonstrators in the Ratchaprasong area were to gather in front of the Royal Thai Police headquarters, which is in the same area.
