Suthep leads PDRC marchers again

Protesters with the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), led by Suthep Thuagsuban, on Saturday morning began marching from Pathumwan intersection to urge Bangkokians to join the Bangkok Shutdown campaign.

The protesters marched to Hua Chang bridge, on their way to Ratchathewi intersection, New Petchaburi Road and Banthat Thong Road, where demonstrators were attacked with a grenade on Friday afternoon.

A total of 36 protesters were injured by the explosion on Friday. One demonstrator, Prakong Chuchan, was killed in the attack. He was taken to Ramathibodi hospital with severe injuries after the blast, but pronounced dead early Saturday morning.

Mr Suthep said he and his supporters were not afraid of death. He condemned the bomb attack as the act of a bandit and called on the caretaker government to take responsibility for its failure to provide security for the protesters.

What is the purpose of blaming the governent other than trying to excite followers and attempt to bolster more support. Work more closely with the police to ensure protection rather than forbiding them access. Chastizing security and then blaming them will not work. Refusing the police to investigate may have allowed the criminal to escape.

Suthep said he and his supporters are not afraid to die. But once the blast is set off, he is the first one to run away form the blast site. Then only at night, he came on stage to blame the government and cried crocodile tears....

Isn't it strange how quickly a man can go from being a hero to being a villain when the people get bored and inconvenienced now that the dust is settling.

to be precisely; the military is hopeless for the sake of the nation

"Suthep....called on the caretaker government to take responsibility for its failure to provide security for the protesters." PDRC suddenly changed the rally route that was cleared of bomb threat by police. So don't blame the government.
Discussion 9 : 18/01/2014 at 12:37 PM
The police were unable to search the route or provide protection because they suddenly changed their route, and the police were searching, and guarding the area they had announced earlier. It is not a question of loyalties, and slurs and insults accomplish nothing.

When in power, Suthep issued the license to kill. When not in power, Suthep issued the license to hijack Bangkok, and wandering his worshipers on the streets of Bangkok freely as if Bangkok is their private properties and backyard.

The police are loyal to Thaksin and Suthep knows it. Therefore, they will not protect him or his protesters. The Thai military is their only genuine protection.
