NSPRT guard shot at Makkawan

A security guard at the rally site of the Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue was shot and injured by an unidentified assailant on Sunday night.

Sitthichai Maliwan, 27, was manning the entrance to the NSPRT protest base at the Makkawan Rangsan Bridge when he was shot by an attacker reportedly armed with a silencer-equipped gun at about 10.40pm.

The bullet grazed Mr Sitthichai’s chest. He was taken to Vajira Hospital.

It is really sad that every time somebody is shot or otherwise injured that there are readers who feel 'O.K.' about clicking on 'Like'. This even happens when people have been killed, surely they cannot seriously be 'Happy'? Are they so cruel to want to see harm done to strangers? Didn't I read somewhere that the majority of the local populace are Buddhists? It leaves me sad and speechless. [almost]
