Plan to blockade CMPO cancelled

People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban has cancelled the plan to lay siege to the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau on Vibhavadi Rangsit road out of concern for the safety of the protesters, reports said.

Issara Somchai, PDRC leader at the Lat Phrao rally site, confirmed the reports.

He said continued violence caused PDRC leaders to decide not to blockade the CMPO as earlier planned.

An M79 grenade was fired at anti-government protesters at the Lat Phrao rally stage in early hours of Wednesday, wounding a protester and damaging two vehicles.

Demonstrators briefly rally in front of the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order on Wednesday after a major plan to lay seige to the office was cancelled. Video by Pattarapong Chatpattarasill.

For once, Suthep made a good decision. I wish that he cancels all the planned blockades of poll venues for the convenience of the lawful voting public. on Feb 2. PDRC can protest all they want as long as they don't hinder, obstruct the peaceful working and living of the society. I am sure the majority of Thai people will begin to see their good cause, if any.

They didn't have the numbers? I saw them this morning and there were some very worred faces and very few of them as well. Get rid of this luntic before he sinks the country.
