Luang Pu Buddha Issara said the blockade is a call for the director of Laksi district, who is also chairman of the election committee in Bangkok's constituency 11, to refrain from delivering the ballot boxes and ballot papers to polling stations in Laksi area.

He said the ballot boxes and voting papers are equivalent to poisonous fruits and if they are sent out it would have negative consequences. He believed a large number of people would lose their lives if the Feb 2 election goes ahead.

Soi Chaeng Wattana 10 was closed to traffic by the blockade.

Any and all loss of life and injury will be on the hands of the protestors and they should be held fully responsible. This is the most undemocratic act you can commit. It compares to treason if not worse.

A buddha monk who involved in politics and obstructing other's freedom to exercise their right to vote is not entitled a respect from others.
