Protesters marching to Yaowarat

Protesters of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) are marching to Yaowarat area with the plan to finish their 5.1-km walking course at Lumpini Park, reports said.

The protest leaders including PDRC secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban have worn red top to celebrate Chinese New Year. Red is the colour admired by Chinese community as a symbol of lucky and prosperity. Red is also the colour taken as the symbol of pro-Thaksin Shinawatra United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD).

The marching, aiming at encouraging Thai-Chinese in the China town area and Bangkians to oppose the Sunday election, started around 10am from Wat Tuek intersection.

The marchers will walk along Charoen Krung road to Si Phrya and Silom and then end their marching at Lumpini Park.

It is time the ruling old feudal elite grow up and accept that the real democracy is millions of voters who support the elected government . The argument about corruptions means getting rid of the DP including suthep for corruptive practices has been the bipartisan accepted norm.. What needs reform is the meddling feudal elite network who ALWAYS meddle in the democratic system to destroy it by hypocritically arguing that they want to get rid of corruption when that is a fallacy and incorrect arguement. Normal Media are reporting that the whiteshirts are occupying voting stations already to keep the mob out. Why no report here? Looks like many people do not want to belive there is opposition to Suthep and don't want to encourage more in the middle to come out against him....

I'm not sure why some people support Suthep. The corruption would continue under the people's council; but it would be the elite bribing him to become council members.
