No official vote count results yet

The results of Sunday's vote count will not be officially announced immediately, Election Commission secretary-general Puchong Nutrawong said after the end of voting at 3pm Sunday.

Mr Puchong said after the 3pm cut-off, officials at active polling units, where voting was not cancelled, are to count the ballots to get the voter turnout, valid ballots, bad ballots and voting results. The voting results are to be pasted up in front of each polling unit.

Each unit is required to report all details in the Sor Sor 37 form and send it to the election office of each constituency.

But the information is interim and no official results can be announced since it is still necessary for all constituencies to wait for the results of the new round of advance voting on Feb 23 and the results of overseas voting to be tallied, Mr Puchong said.
