Shots hit local PDRC leader's home

RATCHABURI - Gunshots were again fired at the shophouse home of a leader of the People's Democratic Reform Committee in Muang district of Ratchaburi province late Sunday night, police said.

Pol Lt Chukri Paduka, the police duty officer, said it was the second attack on the shophouse owned by Yuthapol Pathomsathit, 50. The previous attack was on Jan 27.

A team of forensic police sent to examikne the Paisal Hardware shop in village 3 of tambon Khok Mo reported two glass doors had been shattered by shotgun pellets.

Neighbours told police they heard four or five loud sounds, like gunshots, late Sunday night but did not pay much attention. They frequently hear similar loud noises because their homes are near the  Phetkasem highway.

The police were also informed by Mr Yuthapol's former wife, Orawan Chalitpongsathit, 54, that shots were also fired at her minimart in tambon Don Tako last night.

Police found six bullet holes in the wall of the shop.

Mrs Orawan said she believed the shooting was intended to intimidate her former husband, even though they had been divorced for four years.

Wonder how the Police will blame this on masked PDRC gunmen. Oh, wait, the casings were found near the house so the shots had to come from near the house which means they were fired by PDRC supporters. Mr. Spock and his logical mind would have a field day with what goes on around here!

Lot of trouble last night. Wonder if the sniper incidents outside Lumpini where 2 motorist were shot will make news. Sutheps media seems to have overlooked this. Free media saw it and it is well reported. What they are now reporting is Why BKPost and Nation did not mention it?
