Firecracker attack at PDRC site, 2 hurt

Two people were injured when a giant firecracker was thrown into an anti-governmnet rally site on Chaeng Wattana Road early Saturday, police said.

Police received a report of the incident at 4am.

One protester and a security guard were injured in the blast. They were rushed to Mongkutwattana General Hospital.

Police suspected the attack was carried out to incite unrest by opponents of the anti-government People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC).

Yes, I'm sure PTP, UDD, TS, YS, and everyone else got together and planned this 'radical' attack. Or maybe, just maybe, they were young punks kids being young punk kids. Uh, and what protestors have been arrested by the police and the Thaksin? Name 10. That would come to about 1 per week since the protests started. That's not necessarily 'regularly', but you won't be able to do it, so go ahead. Or are you referring to all of the protestors arrested during Abhisit's regime? You seem confused. And if you think police corruption is caused byThaksin, then you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

The Thaksin Militia/Thai "Police" were either behind the attack or allowed it. At the very least, no attacker on the protesters has ever been arrested. Yet protesters are regularly arrested by the Thaksin Militia. It's time for the Thaksin Regime to go and the Thai police to be utterly reformed.
