Yingluck top brass meeting postponed

A meeting between military leaders and caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck set for Tuesday has been postponed indefinitely.

Air force spokesman AM Monthon Sutchukorn on Monday announced that the Defence Council meeting would not go ahead.

He did not give a reason why, only saying that a new date for the meeting had not been slated.

The council meeting to be chaired by Ms Yingluck in her capacity of the caretaker defence minister was due to take place at the air force's Don Mueang headquarters.

A unit of military police and air force commandos had already been sent to the HQ to tighten security for the premier in the wake of deadly protest violence over the weekend in Trat province and Bangkok's Ratchaprasong area.

Would you waste your time trying to have a useful conversation with Yingluck?

Better Yingluck doesn't pretend to make decisions because she might have to pretend to be accountable for them later on .

The chief of the military is the Prime Minister. She wants to meet with the military and the military does not have time. Incredible. That there are probably only in Thailand.
