Narathiwat bomb wounds 2 soldiers

Two soldiers were wounded, one seriously, by a bomb explosion while on patrol providing security for teachers in Tak Bai district of Narathiwat province on Tuesday morning.

Police said the attack occurred about 8.40am while six soldiers attached to Narathiwat Task Force 31 were patrolling on three motorcycles on a road to Ban Taliang in tambon Ko Sathon.

A bomb planted on the road was detonated remotely with a communication radio.  The explosion wounded Warrant Officer Waichart Promraksa and Pvt Jenwit Kerdphra, leaving a hole on the road.  Pvt Jenwit was seriously wounded in the body.  The two were admitted to Narathiwat Ratchanakarin Hospital.
