What a tragedy.. I am in Korat and my daughter is on early morning bus trips to here and there from time to time with the school. Respects to all involved.

Terrible, terrible tragedy... but, to be completely honest; much too common here in Thailand!
I pray for safe travel every time my wife and daughter board one of these buses en-route from Chiang Mai to Korat.
Poor reporting has provided little facts of the tragedy... how many adults/children? Did the 'truck' driver escape injury? Probable cause?; etc. Not knowing any of this leads me to believe the truck driver was at fault... I squarely put the blame on poor drivers education or lack of defensive driving education, total failure of police enforcement of the existing traffic laws and intervention, and quite simply "common courtesy"!

How many more must die before somthing is done to stop this carnage ,My condolences to the families of these 14 people. In some countries PSVs are not allowed to travel in the 3 rd lane of a motorway and yet I see them driving in convoy here in the outside lane causing mayhem to other travelers..

The Thai government has to do something about all these buses crashing. I have been wanting to take many bus trips around Thailand but too afraid. I travel all over the world and never have I seen so many busses crashing like in Thailand.

When is this carnage going to end in Thailand..?? Why is it that every time you decide to drive/ride anywhere, you are constantly FORCED into avoiding an accident because of someone elses stupidity....More police needed on motorcycle patrol...confiscation of motorbikes/cars that are repeat offenders.....(people obviously do not worry about paying fines)....break the Thai habit of refusing to obey rules.....Stop these buses, both big and small driving like sucicidal mainiacs
