PDRC quits Pathumwan for Lumpini

People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) protesters on Sunday morning moved from the Pathumwan intersection to join the main rally site at Lumpini Park.

Led by Suthep Thaugsuban, Sathit Wongnongtowy, Sakolthi Pattiyakul, Uthai Yodmanee, a core member of the Network of Students and People for the Reform of Thailand (NSPRT), and Rangsima Rodrassami, a former Democrat Party MP, the demonstrators left Pathumwan at 9.20am in a march led by a long-drum procession.

From Pathumwan, they marched along Phayathai to the Sam Yan intersection before turning left along Rama 4 road to Lumpini Park. Along the route, they were warmly greeted by whistle-blowing people.

Pathumwan had been one of the main PDRC rally sites for 49 days from Jan 13. The PDRC decided to relocated several main rally sites to integrate with the one at Lumpini Park.
