Bus runs into police booth, 4 hurt

A public bus crashed into a police booth at Bangkok's Din Daeng intersection on Sunday, injuring four passengers, police said.

Pol Sub-Lt Bansart Barisutthikul, a duty officer at Din Daeng police station, said the police booth was damaged by the No 38 bus running between Chandrakasem Rajabhat University and Ramkhamhaeng University.

Bus driver Singh Jongcharoenkit told police that he was in the left lane of Ratchaprarop Road. He then steered to the right as the bus approached Din Daeng intersection but he lost control of the vehicle.

Mr Singh said there were not many passengers in the bus at the time.

Police charged the bus driver with reckless driving and will check his alcohol level.
