Suthep tells guards 'be disciplined'

Anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban has instructed more than 2,200 security guards at the Lumpini rally site to stay disciplined and obey their superiors, and insisted the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) would soon emerge victorious in their fight against the Yingluck administration.

Mr Suthep, secretary-general of the PDRC, held a training session with 2,234 guards in Lumpini on Sunday morning.

"I ask all guards here to stick to the ideology, fight and sacrifice for the country, be disciplined and follow the orders of the superiors.

"Don't let your personal feelings get in the way of the PDRC's cause and I ask all of you to dress and speak politely," said the former Democrat Party powerbroker.

He told them that the PDRC's fight against the Pheu Thai-led government will become more intense and that the group will soon triumph.
