High on his list is Thanong Bidaya, a former finance minister and close aide to Thaksin Shinawatra who has made clear recently of his approval of the People's Democratic Reform committee(PDRC).
Mr Nattawut, the secretary general of United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD), on Tuesday revealed the names of people he claimed could be appointed prime minister if caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is impeached.
Other possible cabinet members on Mr Nuttawut's list are MR Pridiyathorn Devakula, a deputy prime minister and former finance minister in the Gen Surayud Chulanont government; Narong Sahametapat, the incumbent public health permanent secretary; Pramon Sutivong, Toyota Motors Thailand chairman, a Siam Cement Plc director and chairman of the Anti-Corruption Organisation of Thailand.
Others include Jarun Pukditanakul, a constitutional court judge, Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, rector of the National Institute of Development Administration; Surapol Nitikraipoj, a former Thammasat University rector; and Seri Wongmontha, an independent academic on mass media and public relations.
Mr Nattawut, who is caretaker deputy commerce minister, said Suthep Thaugsuban, secretary general of the PDRC, would have a role as sovereign of the new government and would have power above the law despite his claim of not wanting to accept any position.
