Truck hits train, one dead

A truck crashed into a train in Nakhon Sawan on Saturday, killing its driver.

The truck was carrying rice when it hit Bogey No. 106 of the Sila At-Bangkok service at a crossing in Ban Khao Poo Ka, Tambon Hua Wai, Takhli in the central province.

The impact ejected the driver from the truck, killing him instantly. The truck later caught fire, which was contained shortly after.

A teenager was also hit by a train in Pathum Thani on Friday.

Thiti Butachart, 16, was riding his motorcyle past a crossing in front of Wat Rangsit in Maung district, Pathum Thani, when he was hit by the Ayutthaya-Bangkok train.

The motorycle was completely smashed.

He was declared dead after a medical team pumped his heart for an hour.
