Pattaya invader robs Russian woman

PATTAYA — A Russia woman was robbed in a home invasion by a gunman who made off with valuables worth almost 100,000 baht early Wednesday morning.

The robbery took place at a house in Raviporn Village housing estate in Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri, Pattaya Daily News reported.

Tatiana Ostapchuk, 35, told police she was working in her home at about 2am when a man clad in black entered through an unlocked door and pointed a gun at her.

The man, whom she described as a Thai national, tall and skinny, ordered her to show him where she kept money. She led him to her bedroom where the gunman ordered her to sit on the bed, ransacked the room and took away her iPad.

The robber then searched a living room where he grabbed a Canon camera and an iPhone 4s before fleeing by a car parked outside, Ms Ostapchuk said.

Police are checking footage from security cameras to track the suspect's possible escape route.
