The survey was conducted among 50,000 customers of the website in February. It found that 45% of travellers from Asia said their mobile phone was the first item they did not want to forget, next was credit cards (29%), followed by their laptop/tablet (11%).
Travellers from Europe and the United States, on the other hand, chose a credit card as the first item to take with them (47% and 44% respectively), followed by mobile phones (19% each). A laptop/tablet (13% for Europeans and 18% for Americans) was next, along with a good book (9% each).
The least important item to pack? All participants chose toiletries.
