PDRC calls on Defence Ministry

People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) protesters arrived at the Defence Ministry for a visit on Wednesday to call on the military to lend support for their struggle for reforms, reports said.

Led by Suthep Thaugsuban, the protesters left their Lumpini Park rally base at 10.30am.

At the Defence Ministry, PDRC core members took turns addressing officials through loud speakers.  They asked for permission for Mr Suthep to meet with defence permanent secretary Gen Nipat Thonglek.

Arrangements were being made for the meeting.
