PDRC guard shot dead

An anti-government protester guard was shot dead shortly after midnight on Monday.

Jeerayut Senanarong, 40, was shot in the chest while a band performed on the Lumpini stage of the People's Democratic Reform Committee at around 1.50am on Tuesday.

He died shortly after being sent to the nearby King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Erawan medical centre confirmed the death.

From the clash in front of Ramkhamhaeng University on Nov 30, 2013 to today, 22 died and 741 were injured as a result of the ongoing round of political unrest, the centre said.
