EC secretary-general Puchong Nutrawong said complaints filed against the winners in the four provinces and Phrae were considered at today's meeting of the election body.
The EC decided to dismiss the complaints against the winners in Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon and Sing Buri for lack of grounds. As for the winner in Phrae province, the EC agreed to conduct more investigations into the complaints.
The EC has not yet endorsed the senators-elect of 15 provinces — Bangkok, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Nayok, Phetchabun, Phrae, Mae Hong Son, Ranong, Lop Buri, Lampang, Lamphun, Si Sa Ket, Surat Thani, Nong Bua Lamphu, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.
The agency has until April 28 to do so.
