The complaint was filed last week on behalf of Isoc secretary-general Gen Aksara Kerdphol by Col Wijarn Jodtang, director of Isoc’s law and human rights unit, with chief of the Dusit police station, Post Today reported on Tuesday.
In his complaint, Gen Aksara accused Mr Prasit of committing lese majeste in connection with his political speech made at the red-shirt rally at the Imperial Lat Phrao shopping mall on May 7. A video clip of his speech had been disseminated on the internet.
The general demanded legal action be taken against the former MP for Surin for having committed lese majeste under Section 112 of the Criminal Code and violated the Computer Crime Act.
The Isoc secretary-general plans to present police with evidence including photos and a voice clip of Mr Prasit’s speech to back his claim.
