Pansak Vinyaratn released

Pansak Vinyaratn, former policy advisory chairman to former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, has been released from military detention, according to news reports.

Mr Pansak, who was among the first groups of people summoned to report to the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), was reportedly released this morning.

Apart from the Yingluck administration, Mr Pansak was advisory chairman to the Chatichai Choonhavan and Thaksin Shinawatra administrations.

He was one of those who pushed for the 2  trillion baht billl for infrastructure development projects, including the high-speed train, during the Yingluck administration.
