Security camera footage showed the employee, identified only as Charlie, parked his car on the building’s fifth floor before he made the jump shortly after 9pm Thursday, fracturing his skull and his legs. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Pol Lt Col Somchart Maneerat of Suvarnabhumi airport police station said on Friday the man's death appeared to be suicide due to a personal problem. However, it was not clear just why he killed himself.
Charlie earlier posted a brief text and audio message on his Facebook saying he felt under pressure, but did not say what caused it. The message said where he parked his car and that his house was not locked and his wallet had a phone contact for his sister.
It was reported that friends who read his final post on the popular social site tried to find him but failed to reach him in time.
