Bangkok police took Bogdan Rejic, 40, into custody after he had allegedly cheated several Thai women through Lovetime.com's chat service and other chat services, according to a Sanook.com news report.
Mr Rejic claimed to be in Thailand to work for PTT Plc. He also posted on his Facebook he could import Apple iPhone for sale here at low prices.
Thai women reportedly paid a total of 3 million baht to him.
The police said Mr Rejic entered Thailand in 2000 and had illegally stayed after his visa expired.
He told the victims he was waiting for documents from Germany before he could start working at PTT, the report said.
After chatting with the victims for a while, he claimed to be able to bring in iPhones from Germany.
Many believed him and transferred money to the account he specified. Some also had sex with him.
The police said they had learned Mr Rejic, who appeared in some soap operas as a supporting actor, liked to listen to sermon.
They finally found him hiding at Wat Kratum Sua Pla in Prawet district in Bangkok.
Me Rejic confessed to the crime.
