Two permanent secretaries shunted

The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) on Monday night transferred 14 senior government officials, including two permanent secretaries.

Under its 81/2557 announcement, the council moved Somchai Siriwattana-choke from being the permanent secretary for transport to adviser to the PM's Office. Chote Trashu, permanent secretary for natural resources and environment, also becomes an adviser to the PM's Office.

Mrs Soithip Trisuddhi, deputy permanent secretary for transport, succeeds Mr Somchai as the permanent secretary for transport and Mrs Mingquan Wichayarangsaridh, deputy permanent secretary for natural resources and environment, replaces Mr Chote as the permanent secretary for natural resources and environment.

Sutthichai Sungkamanee becomes an inspector-general of the Ministry of Finance instead of director-general of the Revenue Department. Prasong Poontaneat, director of the State Enterprise Policy Office, becomes the director-general of the Revenue Department. Kulit Sombatsiri, inspector-general of the Ministry of Finance, is the new director of the State Enterprise Policy Office. 

Pravit Kiengpol becomes a labour inspector-general instead of the director-general of the Department of Employment. Sumet Mahosot becomes the director-general of the Department of Employment instead of a deputy permanent secretary for labour. Peeraphat Pornsirilertkit is now a deputy permanent secretary of the Ministry of Labour instead of its inspector-general.

Kasemsun Chinnavaso, chief inspector-general of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, was appointed a deputy permanent secretary of the ministry.

Chatuporn Burutpat was made the director-general of the Department of Water Resources, being moved  from director-general of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion. Miss Pavinee Punnakanta, inspector-general of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, succeeds Mr Chatuporn at the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion.

Suphot Tovichakchaikul was removed from the post of deputy permanent secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and becomes secretary-general of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning.
