Surin Krittayapongpan, executive vice-president of BEC World Plc, which runs Channel 3, said the free-to-air broadcaster had invested a large sum to sub-licence Barclays Premier League matches from CTH, the exclusive rights holder of the BPL in Thailand for the past three seasons.
CTH paid 10 billion baht in exchange for EPL broadcasting rights in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos for three seasons from 2013-16.
The matches will be aired alternately starting Aug 23 on the analogue Channel 3 Original, the digital Channel 3 Family (Channel 13), Channel 3 SD (Channel 28) and Channel 3 HD (Channel 33). However, viewers will need to check which match will air on which channel.
The first match between Everton and Arsenal will air on Channel 3 Original and HD at 11.15pm. The next two matches shown will be the 7:15p.m game Sunday, Aug 31, between Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool, and the Arsenal-Manchester City match at 6:30pm on Sept 13.
