Pope to spell out Asia vision

SEOUL - Pope Francis was expected to set out his vision for the Catholic Church in Asia as he meets Sunday with bishops from the region and lead a Mass for a youth festival.

Francis was scheduled to travel by helicopter from Seoul to Haemi-eup, about 100 kilometres south-west of the capital, to a shrine for Korean martyrs and a meeting with the bishops.

In the afternoon, the pontiff was expected to move to the nearby Haemi Fortress for the closing Mass of the Asian Youth Day and the Korean Youth Day, two parallel events estimated to have attracted 6,000 youths.

Before setting off, Francis was slated to baptize a man who lost his son in a ferry sinking in April. The accident has shaken public consciousness in South Korea, and during his trip the pope has met victims' relatives and survivors several times.
