Siriraj doctors: King 'in good health'

The latest medical tests have indicated His Majesty the King is in good health, the Royal Household Bureau said in a statement Saturday.

An X-ray computed tomography scan at Siriraj Hospital showed His Majesty's stomach, intestines, liver and kidneys are functioning normally, the bureau said.

A follow-up blood test on Friday also found His Majesty's nutritional status had improved and no inflammation was detected.

The royal doctors also reported His Majesty was healthier and had gained weight, eliminating the need for intravenous nutrient supplements.

His Majesty has been in Bangkok since Aug 6 for a comprehensive physical check-up after staying at Klai Kangwon Palace in Prachuap Khiri Khan for a little over a year.
