Hill Tribe members pay respects to late King

Today (Monday), more than 5,000 tribespeople from 41 tribes were in Bangkok to pay their respects to the late King before his royal urn.

Thailand has many hill tribes, especially in the North. The late King Bhumibol Ayulyadej helped them a lot during his life and they are very grateful.

Today (Monday), more than 5,000 tribespeople from 41 tribes, such as Karen, Hmong, Akha, Muser, Dara-ang, Kachin and Lisu, were in Bangkok to pay their respects to the late King before his royal urn.

They were all wearing their tribal costumes. First they had a colourful ceremony at Saranrom Park. Then they walked in a long line to the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace.
