Crafts From The Hands Of The Hills…To The Hands Of The Queen: 70 Years, Framed Reflections Exhibition

Hosts: The Foundation For The Promotion Of Supplementary Occupations And Related Techniques Of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit Of Thailand (Support Foundation), Central Department Store and Central Embassy with support from Siam Commercial Bank.

Highlights: Minister of Tourism and Sports Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul recently presided over the opening of the exhibition, which pays tribute to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and celebrates the 85th birthday of HM Queen Sirikit. Her Majesty's work desk and writings are on display illustrating royal duties in helping Thais including hilltribes to earn a better living through their arts and crafts. Designed by Nuntapong Sinsawas, 40 pieces of mixed media art feature textiles showcasing hilltribes' craftsmanship. Textiles, handicrafts and products from the Support Foundation are also retailed at the exhibition, which runs till Aug 16.
