PHOENIX, ARIZONA - Ariya Jutanugarn got into trouble early but a late surge earned her a tie for second Sunday (early Monday Thailand time) at the Founders Cup gold tournament.

Ariya fired three-under par on her last four holes to finish the day at four-under, but she fell two strokes short of winner Anna Nordqvist.

Ariya's four-day total was 23 under par. She finished tied with Stacy Lewis and In Gee Chun. Ariya and Lewis battled all week including in three rounds they played together, and scored exactly the same every day of the tournament.

Ariya's older sister Moriya ended with her best finish ever on the LPGA tour, a tie for eighth place with the world No.1, Lydia Ko of New Zealand.

Pornanong "Waen" Phatlum wound up in a seven-golfer tie for 24th. She fired a four-under 68 on Sunday, for a four-day total of 16 under par.
