Pol Gen Chamnan Ruadrew, chief of Police Region 5, has ordered an investigation after the photograph appeared on various social media outlets.
The photograph shows a young girl, aged about three, being taught by an adult how to use what is supposedly an illegal drug. It surfaced on Facebook on Oct 4 and had since been widely circulated on internet forums where it has met an angry reaction from netizens.
Many people posted messages on Facebook and popular Thai web board Pantip.com, criticising the adult in the picture.
Some posters questioned whether the adult was actually the child's parent, while others assumed that the child had been adbucted to be a beggar.
Other netizens said even if the picture was meant to be a joke and the child did not actually take drugs, it was still inappropriate.

I agree with Discussion 3 (ubuntu) that the female beggars with (rented ?) babies are a real pain.
The same applies to the disabled beggars who most probably are mafia victims.

Unfortunately this kind of things happens and abduction of kids sadly to say is not an isolated case; D2 you are right the face of the kid should be shown and maybe someone will realize the face and can help or call for help.

If the adult is a parent or abductor and indeed teaching the child to "get high" it is reprehensible. How about the populous getting upset about the organized begging that enslaves human beings, typically women with babies, and/ or crippled people? Are there ever rallies or mass protests against such things?
Assuming the photo is real and about the child using drugs, it should serve as a "wake up call'

If BKK post would show the face of this poor kid, maybe someone could identify the poor kid, give police a lead and help the poor soul.
Actually, the face of this kid should be on posters all around the country to ensure help comes as fast as possible.....
