King endorses new Yingluck cabinet

His Majesty the King endorsed Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s new cabinet on Sunday.

The latest cabinet reshuffle will mark the third time that red-shirt co-leader Jatuporn Prompan has been excluded from the coveted line-up.

Opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said before the reshuffle was royally endorsed that he saw the shake-up in the Yingluck 3 government as a reward and favouritism towards certain politicians rather than to serve the people and solve their problems.

He said, for example, the education portfolio should not be changed so often as it affects the consistency of the country’s educational progress and policies as the task is time consuming.     

Mr Abhisit referred to the appointment of legal expert Pongthep Thepkanchana as education minister, replacing Suchart Thada-Thamrongvech.

Those included in the Yingluck 3 cabinet are:

Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister: Phongthep Thepkanchana 

Deputy Education Minister: Sermsak Pongpanit

Deputy Prime Miniter and Foreign Minister: Surapong Tovichakchaikul 

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister: Jarupong Ruangsuwan

Deputy Interior Minister: Pracha Prasopdee

Deputy Interior Minister: Pol Lt Gen Chatt Kuldiloke 

Deputy Prime Minister: Plodprasop Suraswadi 

Transport Minister: Chadchart Sittipunt

Deputy Transport Minister: Gen Prin Suwanatat

Deputy Transport Minister: Prasert Chantararuangthong 

Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister: Yukol Limlaemthong

Deputy Agriculture Minister: Yuthapong Charassathien

Deputy Agriculture Minister: Siriwat Kachornprasart 

Culture Minister: Sonthaya Khunplome 

Energy Minister: Pongsak Raktapongpaisal 

Science and Technology Minister: Woravat Au-apinyakul 

PM's Office Minister: Varathep Rattanakorn

However, those who were out of ministerial jobs in this reshuffle are:

Deputy Prime Minister: Yutthasak Sasiprapa

Energy Minister: Arak Chonlatanon

Education Minister: Suchart Thada-Thamrongvech

Deputy Education Ministers: Sakda Khongpetc

Public Health Minister: Witthaya Buranasiri

Deputy Public Health Minister: Surawit Khonsomboon

Prime Minister's Office Minister: Nalinee Taveesin

Culture Minister: Sukumol Khunploem

Industry Minister: MR Pongsvas Svasti 

Deputy Interior Minister: Chuchart Hansawat

Deputy Commerce Minister: Poom Sarapol

Earlier, two ministers had resigned their positions: former agriculture and cooperatives minister Theera Wongsamut and deputy prime minister and interior minister Yongyuth Wichaidit.

yes the pm yingluck has brought in the rear guard replacing the obsolute phuea thai mps ,no jobs for reds commanders thila and jataporn,chalerm stays as defender for the fugitive,differcult times ahead
