Schoolboys find B100,000 in cash
Khamnon Kaengwichit and his cousin Nawapon Sopasereesuk are both aged 9 and in Prathom 1 (Grade 1) at Ban Khun Huay Mae Thor School in tambon Sam Muen of Mae Ramat district of Tak province.
They were very happy when they each received donated clothes to wear for the cold season.
When they took a close look at the clothing, however, they were very surprised. In the pocket of a pair of jeans was 100,000 baht in cash.
Khamnon and Nawapon are good boys and they knew it was not right to keep the money because it did not belong to them.
They told their teacher and now their school is trying to find out who the owner of the money is.
The boys didn't come out empty-handed, however. They received a reward of 5,000 baht for their honesty.
What happens if the owner is never found, I wonder?
