Teens nabbed with large quantities of meth, ice

Police raided a house in Bangkok's Bang Khunthian district on Sunday, arrested two 17-year-olds, a boy and a girl, and seized 480,000 methamphetamine pills and 48 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine in their possession.

The raid on house No.102/163 in Pisal Housing Estate in Samae Dam sub-district was led by Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakphan, commander of the Patrol and Special Operations Division of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Pol Maj Gen Thammanoon Traithipayapong, chief of the Samut Prakan police.

The  two teenagers, whose names were withheld, were alone in the two-storey house. Police also found two suitcases in a storeroom on the groundfloor. One contained 480,000 methemphetamine pills and the other 48kg of crystal methamphetamine, known as "ice".
