Flooding was reported in the northern province of Tak and the eastern province of Prachin Buri overnight and this morning, with the Meteorological Department forecasting more heavy rain in most areas of the country.

In Tak province, at least 29 houses in Ban Rom Klao Sahamit in tambon Khiri Rat of Phrop Phra district were hit by flash floods after a night of heavy and continual rain. The flooding left a thick layer of mud on the main road of the village, rendering it impassible until heavy equipment is brought in to clear it.

In tambon Ruam Thai Phatthana of the same district, flooding prompted the evacuation at Ruam Thai Phatthana 4 School on Tuesday morning. Teachers and students laboured to move teaching materials and other equipment to higher ground to prevent them being damaged.
