Traffic on Rama IV Road was heavy on Monday morning when the outbound side of the Thai-Belgian bridge was closed for the first day of repairs, media reports said.

The Thai-Belgian bridge was damaged near Silom intersection by a fire in garbage bins stored underneath it on Feb 28.

Traffic congestion on outbound Rama IV Road was made worse on Monday as the road surface was covered with water from a broken pipe near the Kluay Nam Thai intersection.
