Engineer Boonyarit Suwannasan, 59, and 10 local mechanics spent six months developing a driverless, affordable sugarcane harvester in Sukhothai province. Operated via wireless remote control, the harvester is designed to save fuel and reduce wastage of sugarcane juice. It will cost 6 million baht compared to about 13 million baht for an imported machine. (Video by Phubet Faithes)
